COMPANY DIRECTORS PROFILES

AVENT PRODUCTIONS was established by Andy Bennett and Craig Phillips. They met in broadcast television production while they were both employed by the BBC. They quickly became very good friends and ended up working on many occasions together on various series. During the time they worked together, they both expressed a desire to combine their abilities and set up their own independent production company. In 2004, Andy and Craig finally realised their ambition by setting up an independent production company AVENT PRODUCTIONS to provide quality programmes to UK broadcasters.

Andy is a graduate of Newport Film School , University of South Wales , where he graduated with a BA Honours degree in film and photography and trained as a producer and director. Upon leaving Film School he briefly worked in the film industry before joining the BBC as a trainee cameraman in 1996. While at the BBC Andy gained valuable experience working in the studio, on location and at special events on countless live and recorded events. He eventually settled in the PSC department at BBC Pebble Mill working on hundreds varied television productions all over the country and the world, quickly gaining a reputation as a young, hard working, and stylish lighting cameraman.

Andy left BBC Pebble Mill after 5 years of service at the end of June 2002 after the PSC department was unfortunately closed down and set up Andy Bennett Camera Crew Ltd where he continued to provide camera crews to the television broadcast industry. It was during this time that Andy began to offer more of his directing and producing skills and was employed on many occasions to produce, shoot and direct various broadcast and corporate productions

Andy Bennett Camera Crew Ltd still provides professionally trained, highly skilled crews with a wealth of experience to production companies right throughout the Broadcast, Corporate and Advertising industry .

Craig Phillips is most famous for being the first ever Big Brother winner in the summer of 2000 where he immediately gave away his £70,000 winnings to charity. Since that time Craig has worked exclusively in television and in the past 5 years he has appeared on hundreds of different television programmes for all the major broadcasters. An instantly recognisable face, he has presented and appeared in a wealth of live and recorded shows and during his broadcast career has gained a great and extensive knowledge in the process of television production.

Craig still maintains an active part in representing and helping many different charities. He has a particular association with the Down's Syndrome charity and the Michelle Lewis fundraising charity and continues to use his profile to raise money for their worthy causes.

Prior to the year 2000 Craig managed an extremely successful building company in the county of Shropshire which employed twelve personnel and operated over a period of more than 10 years. The company was eventually "wound down" in late 2000 due to Craig's mounting television and charity commitments.
